This post is going to be short, sweet, and to the point. Except it’s really not sweet at all, just a little spicy. I put “smoked” in the title because honestly in my opinion, smoked paprika makes it. If you just have plain old paprika, please go buy some smoked.

Recipe Notes
- I like a lot of taco seasoning in my meat so I use this whole recipe. You may want to only use half though.
- Smoked paprika makes the blend extra rich. If you only have regular paprika, give it a try—but promise to pick up smoked next time.
- Dance around the kitchen while you cook; it somehow makes the tacos better.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Directions
- Combine all of the spices in a small bowl.
- Whisk until evenly mixed, then transfer to an airtight jar.
- Use 1 to 2 tablespoons per pound of meat, adjusting to taste.
